*All measurements provided have either been taken directly from saddle stamps, or are approximate measurements taken by experienced Good Apple Equine Consignment staff. On English saddles we measure at approximately the level at which the horse’s longissimus dorsii and trapezius muscles should comfortably make contact with the saddle. Western saddles are measured concho to concho. This information is provided as a courtesy to our customers, and is not a guarantee of size or fit as each individual saddle differs from the next (including those of the same brand and model). | |
Established in 1986 Hennig’s optimum goal is to achieve optimal back movement for the horse through rider position and panel filling that is softer than the horses actual muscles. A Hennig saddle will allow the horses back muscles to stay supple and relaxed whilst keeping the riders weight distribution as even as possible. Achieving this goal allows the horse and rider to work together in perfect harmony.
The tree points of a Hennig are angled backward to free the horse’s shoulder. The tree can be adjusted by a qualified saddler to virtually any width or shape of tree opening. … A Hennig saddle is the ultimate in comfort for you and your horse.
In the region of the ischial tuberosity and the pubis, the corresponding parts of the saddle tree are recessed and replaced by a special foam filling.
Thanks to the patented division and widening of the saddle tree in the rear third, Hennig was able to interrupt the pressure axis created during riding. Weight and pressure is transmitted as required only in the cross-buttock axis. This allows the desired shock absorption and thus back-friendly riding for horse and rider. These saddles have a widened support surface (cushion) with a chamber course of at least 6-7 cm.
The right situation on horseback is crucial!
We note the horse type, square or rectangular shape. It is important that the center of gravity of the saddle is oriented in such a way that the horseshoe cross-axis of the horseshoe is in the area of the vertical spinous processes. This assumes that regardless of the seat size, the saddle length must be adjusted to the horse’s back.
