This is a brand new dressage saddle – in design and build.  It is designed specifically with the youth in mind – long legs and changing bodies – by one of the country’s foremost equine biomechanical engineers.   Every aspect of the horse and rider’s combined movement and balance has been carefully considered to optimize the best performance.  Even though this saddle is a prototype, it has been ‘test ridden’ by many riders (of varying levels), and the feedback has been very exciting – they love its look, its feel and its comfort!  The saddle’s features (below) are not just ‘nice to have’, they are essential for any discerning dressage rider and horse combination.

FEATURES

• ergonomically designed deep seat – encourages rider to sit in correct position and not be forced too far forward or backwards whilst supporting without restriction
• shoulder relief panels – gussetted for ease of flocking adjustment
• the stirrup bars allow adjustment forwards or backwards
• Sliding V-system billet configuration to allow best girthing position
• The ‘yoke’ of the saddle can be mechanically adjusted* (by a reputable saddler/saddle fitter)
• wool flocked
• all materials hand sourced and leather is from Europe
• broad Velcro panel to place knee blocks if required

George Gullikson –  is arguably one of the country’s leading equine biomechanical ‘engineers’ who has devoted his time and experience to designing saddles to fit horse and rider correctly.  He has worked closely with many saddlery companies and Master Saddlers in the UK and Europe to achieve the highest standards in saddle ergonomics.  In this dressage saddle, the spring tree can be adjusted by qualified saddler for an exact fit.
