About this saddle

In excellent used condition, this is a lovely, comfortable, well designed dressage saddle by Equine Biomechanic Specialist, George Gullikson.  George is one of the country’s leading saddle specialists, having had an extensive engineering and equestrian background.  He collaborated with British saddlers – Frank Baines, who actually make the saddles in Walsall, England.

This particular Aires de Haute dressage saddle has a 17ins seat and we measured the width fitting to be 5ins which we consider to be medium to medium/wide.   The length of the saddle flaps is 15ins, which is an inch or so short of regular.  Note the Wellep stirrup bars which allows for stirrup leather positioning for the rider.

For full information on the ethos behind the Equine Inspired dressage saddle, visit George’s very useful information: http://www.equineinspired.info/uploads/3/9/9/7/3997657/1k_our_dressage_saddles.pdf.  You will then fully appreciate how much work and design has gone into these beautiful saddles.

*All measurements provided have either been taken directly from saddle stamps, or are approximate measurements taken by experienced Good Apple Equine Consignment staff.  This information is provided as a courtesy to our customers, and is not a guarantee of size or fit as each individual saddle differs from the next (including those of the same brand and model).

Saddle Width Measurement:  Please note we measure 3-4 ins down from the center of the pommel and in, to where we can see the horse would start to make contact with the panels. We feel this is a more meaningful measurement than measuring button to button or at the extreme front of the saddle.
