  • “The average rider weighs 600 lbs!  . . .on the landing side of a 4′ jump.  Most of that 600 lbs ends up on the stirrup bars.   On conventional spring trees, one end of the stirrup bar is attached to the gullet plate and the other just to the wooden legs of the tree.   Force at this point can cause tree twisting and instability which can injure your horse’s back.
  • To reduce harmful twisting, the Stabilizer design uses an extended gullet plate, stabilizing the joint between the pommel and the legs of the tree and allowing for both ends of the stirrup bar to be attached to solid steel.
