Specialized Saddles

There are various types of saddles which do not fit the dressage, close contact or all purpose category.  These include the SIDE SADDLE, the VAULTING SADDLE, the BAREBACK PAD/SADDLE, the ENDURANCE saddle, the SADDLE SEAT saddle, the PLANTATION saddle, and the RACING SADDLE, (sometimes known as racing plates).  There  are also ENGLISH SADDLES  designed for specific breeds – ie, the Arabian, Morgan, etc., whose conformation requires adjustments to the shape of the saddle.
