Although an earlier Stübben dressage saddle, this saddle is in great condition (except the billets need glueing back together – see pic. Very easily fixed by any leather worker or saddler, but the leather itself is in good condition. Otherwise it is very sound and serviceable for many years to come. It has a 17ins seat, is made in a traditional black and tan two-tone leather combination, and the saddle flaps are slightly shorter than regular at 15ins from the stirrup bar to the bottom of the saddle flap. The saddle is stamped as a 31cms fitting. We measure in inches and we measured it to be 5.5ins, which we consider to be a wide fitting. Stübben Siegfrieds have been on the market for many years and have been very popular both in Europe and the United States. It is a testament to the saddle’s integrity that they are still popular as they are comfortable for both horse and rider. Wool flocked. Made in Switzerland.
