Hamley & Co. has been known as the maker of “the finest hand made saddles money can buy.” since they started in business in 1883. Quality hand made Hamley saddles are made today in the same location and with many of the same techniques that Hamley saddle makers used a hundred years ago. Hamley’s still produces and sells Hamley kits and belts, as well as quality silver items. All custom Hamley goods feature the “Barrel H”—the logo and symbol of quality since 1910. Hamley’s goal is to bring the Hamley name back to national prominence, sell products online and again distribute the Hamley Cowboy Catalog.
This is a very nice rough 0ut saddle, which has seen very moderate wear, but because it is harder to clean the rough out leather, there are some rider marks as one would expect. However, the quality of the workmanship is not a disappointment. The stirrups feature gorgeous stainless steel embellishments. The seat measures 16ins, the gullet measures 6.75ins (regular QH bars), and the saddle is stamped on the cantle with W-099. (model no.).
